Hello! My name is Villena, not my birth name, but everyone called me like that since elementary school, so I decided to keep it as artistic name. I am a fashion school graduate. I currently live in Belgrade, Serbia. I started this blog mainly for promoting my corsetry and (officially from January 2015) clothing brand Villena Viscaria Clothing. I find inspiration in nature, mostly plants. In fact, you'll find most of my corsets and bigger projects named after some flowers. The inspiration can be the colour, the shape of the petals or just the symbolism of the plant itself. The sentimental tradition of flowers and herbs dates back at least hundred an fifty years. Victorians gave romantic significance to specific blossoms so lovers could send each other 'secret' messages. Before I decided to become a fashion designer, I wanted to study scandinavian languages and be a tattoo artist.
